About Broughty Castle Museum
Broughty Castle sits imposingly at the mouth of the River Tay. Built in 1496 on a rocky promontory, it has faced many sieges and battles. Today, it houses fascinating displays on the life and times of Broughty Ferry, its people, the environment and the wildlife that live close by. Getting there
A walk along the beachfront takes roughly 40-45 mins. Bike takes 15 mins. You can also get the bus (10 mins) or Train - 1 min to Broughty Ferry and a 5 min walk from the Train Platform.
